9 May.
All arrived in Portland on time. One of our party had overweight luggage---but we were able to redistribute saving $100. Flights were fine, although longer as we avoided icelandic volcano-arrived about 2 hours later than expected..
10 May
After short rest and early dinner/late lunch some of us went to red square. Red square actually Means beautiful square in Russian. It still had the reviewing stands up from Mayday 65th anniversary of end of war. We also got to see the lights come on and they are very beautiful. It is warm in Moscow--in 70s.
Andrei and I went in search of a cold beer. You would think in a city of 12 million people and 1000 square kilometers this would be easy. It was not.
We reunited with our group and returned to hotel via metro around 11PM. Major cultural tours await us tomorrow.
